Welcome to Muncaster's infamous Halloween Week!

Dare you visit one of Britain's most haunted castles this Halloween?  Ghost tours of this famously haunted castle sell out every year!  (Pre booking required)

Will you enter the Ghostly Grotto?  Daily children's activites include face painting, crafts, games, magic show and talks on Halloween traditions.

After dusk, the Darkest Muncaster illuminations and special effects transform the gardens into a beautifully spooky experience and a Halloween themed sound and light show plays across the Castle walls!  Don't miss our special guest fire juggler each evening, all this is included in the day ticket price!

For the adrenaline junkie, optional tours can be booked on the night (small extra cost) - try our Ghostly Garden & mysterious Owl Tours into unlit areas of Muncaster...  Or are YOU brave enough to take on the Scary Maze? A howling success in 2009, we aim to make you scream... (PG - not recommended for the faint hearted or children under 12 without adult supervision)

The Cafe and gift shop will be open until 8pm.

Halloween Castle Ghost Tour Prices:

Adult All day ticket & Ghost Tour - £17.00 -entry available from 10.30am

Adult 'Darkest Muncaster' Entry & Ghost Tour - £12.00 - entry after 4.30pm

Child All day ticket & Ghost Tour - £7.50 - entry available from 10.30am

Children in fancy dress will get a free gift on the night and every child Halloween tour is included in the Castle entry - only £7.50.  Don't delay, tickets and spaces for the tours are limited.

 Daily Times and whats included in the above ticket options:

The adult and child all day options will include, access to the gardens, and owl centre from 10.30am. The MeadowVole maze any time between 10.30am and 4pm.  Entry to the Castle any time between 12 noon and 3.30pm. (please note: the Castle and the Maze will both close at 4pm to allow us to set up for the evening activities...) During the afternoon we will have face painting, and crafts in the Old Laundry room (small charge applies).  Followed by a magic show and talk on Halloween tradtions. The Darkest Muncaster garden illuminations will start at dusk at be at their best from 6pm onwards.  During the evening you will take your Castle Ghost tour at your prebooked time shown on your ticket, and have the chance to watch the Juggling Inferno fire shows.  In addition to this there will also be Mysterious Owl tours, these will be at an extra charge and need to be booked on the night.  The Scary Maze will open at 6pm and an extra charge applies at the entrance to the maze (no booking required).

Darkest Muncaster entry is from 4.30pm and will include the Darkest Muncaster Garden illuminations, the Castle Ghost tour prebooked at the time shown on your ticket, and the Juggling Inferno Fire shows.  You will also be able to try one of our Mysterious Owl tours and or the Scary maze at extra cost, as described above.
