NEWS posted 7th December

Due to an outbreak of Avian Flu in Continental Europe the Government Chief Vet has introduced measures to protect the UK from this disease. This includes preventing as far as possible wild birds coming into contact with domestic bird collections.
The current position is that our daily bird of prey displays would be permitted (due to resume 11th February after our winter closedown) but Hawk Walks and our wild heron feed are suspended until further notice.
Hawk Walk voucher holders are assured that voucher expiry dates will be extended if necessary so that they may be used when the restrictions are lifted, or that vouchers can be refunded or exchanged for other experiences if preferred.
We apologise for any inconvenience but this is obviously due to external factors beyond our control. Thank you for your understanding.

Come along for a half hour Hawk Walk!

Available daily to a select few (a maximum of four participants); a walk through the Castle’s woodlands in the company of a beautiful bird of prey flying tree to tree and tree to glove, under instruction from the Muncaster Hawk & Owl Centre’s falconers. Up to four spectators (family and friends of participants ONLY – places not available for separate sale) may accompany the walk. Must be prebooked.
