NEWS posted 7th December

Due to an outbreak of Avian Flu in Continental Europe the Government Chief Vet has introduced measures to protect the UK from this disease. This includes preventing as far as possible wild birds coming into contact with bird collections. This means that currently we cannot fly any of our birds and therefore regrettably the daily “Sky Hunters” display at 1.30pm has been cancelled and Hawk Walks are also not currently possible. At the moment we are continuing with our Wild Heron Feed at 3pm.
We apologise for any inconvenience but this is obviously due to external factors beyond our control.

Come along for a half hour Hawk Walk!

Available daily to a select few (a maximum of four participants); a walk through the Castle’s woodlands in the company of a beautiful bird of prey flying tree to tree and tree to glove, under instruction from the Muncaster Hawk & Owl Centre’s falconers. Up to four spectators (family and friends of participants ONLY – places not available for separate sale) may accompany the walk. Must be prebooked.
