Muncaster's Coachman's Quarters

Set in the magnificent gardens of Muncaster Castle, The Coachman's Quarters have been renovated to provide 4 star guest B&B accommodation. 

Within our ten rooms, various combinations can be set up to provide accommodation for up to 29 guests.

Ideal for wedding guests or small groups, families or individuals wishing to spend time in this unique and undiscovered part of the Western Lake District.

One room has facilities for the disabled, while another is dog friendly.  Within the accommodation there is a fully equipped kitchen with refrigerator, washer, dryer and ironing board, dining room and lounge with TV and games for residents to use.  All rooms have TV's and tea and coffee making facilities. The accommodation is a no smoking premises.

Guests have free entry to the Gardens, Owl Centre and Maze and discounted entry into the Castle. The Castle is open Sunday to Friday and closed most Saturdays to allow us to host weddings.

The Castle, Cafe and shops will be closed from early November to mid March except for some weekend opening for special events such as Christmas at the Castle and February half term.  The Gardens and Owl Centre are open until the end of December and will reopen at the beginning of February.  Our special winter rates apply during this period. 

There are plenty of leisure opportunities available in the area such as; water sports, sailing, bird watching, cycling, fell walking, climbing and horse riding. Guests staying in the Coachman's Quarters can also receive a discount voucher for the Ravenglass and Eskdale railway.
