Spring in the Lake District's 'Gateway to Paradise' (Released 2009)

Discover one of England’s most spectacular gardens at the Western Lake District’s Muncaster Castle this Spring.

Described by John Ruskin as the ‘Gateway to Paradise’, the famous gardens attract visitors from throughout the world at this time of year when they burst into bloom.

For the first time this year, plant enthusiasts are encouraged to visit Muncaster’s new rhododendron planting from North East India, which include R. Elliottii, with distinctive red flowers, now becoming scarce in its country of origin.
