Welcome to Muncaster Castle - the award winning family attraction and home to the World Owl Centre with more than 200 birds of prey on display. 70 acres of garden famous for its collection of rhododendrons and azaleas set against the stunning backdrop of the Lakeland fells. Indoor children's MeadowVole Maze. playgrounds, cafe and gift shop. FREE PARKING!

Dogs are welcome in the Gardens and the Owl Centre providing that they are kept on leads.

Muncaster Opening Times and Ticket Prices 2012

Winter Season:

We will be closed from Jan 1st - Feb 1st 2012 to allow maintenance work to take place although the Coachman's Quarters B&B accommodation is still open.

From the 1st February 2012 the Gardens, Owl Centre and children’s indoor MeadowVole Maze open daily 11am to 4pm with Heron Happy Hour daily at 3.30pm. The Castle will be open during half-term week, 12th to 19th February and will then be closed again until fully reopening for the summer on Sunday 25th March.
