Picnic Cinema Aug 11th & 12th

Picnic Cinema Aug 11th & 12th

Picnic Cinema returns to Muncaster for the weekend with two classic films on the big screen on the Castle front lawn.

Friday 11th, PULP FICTION (18)

Saturday 12th, BOOGIE NIGHTS (18)

The evening’s entertainment begins from around 7pm with the films screening from around 9.30pm (as it needs to be dark). The event goes ahead regardless of the weather, so if it rains, we will get wet! Do come prepared for the conditions and you will also need your own seating.

Although you are welcome to picnic, there will be food and drink available to buy plus the Castle cafe will be open from 8am for campers’ breakfasts in the morning.

Where to stay?

Camping pitches in the Castle gardens are available for Picnic Cinema-goers. Campers may pitch from 5.30pm and must leave the site by 11am the following morning.

Alternatively stay at the on-site Coachman’s Quarters B&B and see a film too! We’re offering one night’s B&B for two plus two film tickets for £110 (£100 for our one ‘nonsuite’ room or £130 for the Granary Suite). You can book this online (more info below) or call on 01229 717614 for this deal.

The cushiest offering is from the 3* Pennington Hotel in Ravenglass, with one night’s B&B plus tickets for two for £130. It’s just a mile away by car, prebooked taxi, a walk with a torch down the road or a more entertaining womble through the woods (woo!). You can book this online (more info below) or call on 01229 717222 for this deal.

B&B bookers please note, package includes B&B for two people sharing and two film tickets. You can request additional beds for some rooms, chargeable at our usual supplements, but you will need to purchase separately any additional film tickets required.
