Planning your Visit

This section of the site is the home of helpful stuff that can really make a difference to your visit. Planning in advance will help you make the most of your time at Muncaster Castle. If you are coming with kids check out 'visiting with children'. Everyone needs maps of the estate and you can download them here before you leave home.   Dogs are welcome in the Gardens and Owl Centre providing that they are kept on leads.

We also have a copy of our 2013 leaflet that is available for you to download. This shows a list of special events as a calander for the year ahead.  For further details of our special events click here

We're right in the heart of the Western Lake District on the picturesque coast. So, wherever you're coming from, it's not hard to get here. We're easily accessible, with, what must be argued, one of the best drives in the country, from the M6 motorway, both north (J41 Carlisle or J40 Penrith) and south (J36) so why not jump in your car and discover your Muncaster experience!
