beating off stiff competition from worthy runners up: Amazing Grazing – Herdwick Mutton Moroccan and Savin Hill – Pork & Damson

Monday’s Sausage Eating Competition was won by Graeme Hunt, originally from Manchester and at the festival with the Lakes Distillery stand. Graeme is at pains to point out that it isn’t actually gin in the LD bottle he’s drinking from to wash down the sausage. Ben France, pictured presenting Graeme with his prize, took part for fun and actually clocked the fastest time of 4 minutes 23 seconds to consume his pound of sausage. But then as he works for the sponsors First Choice Meats, we think he gets plenty of practice!
