Be a time traveller, returning to Christmas 1885 and experience the magic of this beautiful, ancient castle, lit by candle light and elegantly decorated for Christmas.

While Lord Muncaster sleeps, sneak a peek behind the scenes with his butler and maids. Warm yourself with a glass of mulled wine, mince pie and log fires at his Lordship’s grand dining table while enjoying festive entertainments with the servants on this inclusive 40 minute tour.  For a taste of Victorian Christmas click here

Pre booking is essential.  Your ticket gives you entry to the Gardens and Owl Centre from 11am, Castle entry between 1pm and 3pm plus your evening Victorian Tour at your chosen time, and the Darkest Muncaster Illuminations. 

Discounted tours for Friends of Muncaster or guests in our Coachman's Quarters bed and breakfast!

Darkest Muncaster Illuminations, with a themed sound and light show on the Castle transform the gardens after dark to a winter wonderland. The Café and Gift shop will be open until late. A truly magical experience!

Tour dates are sundays the 9th, 16th,  plus 21st & 23rd and 27th & 29th December 2012 each evening.
