Group Visits

Muncaster makes a wonderful full day visit for any group with four top attractions in one location. The breathtaking vista of the Western Lakeland fells and Scafell Pike (England's highest mountain) mean the views alone make the trip worthwhile. We recommend a minimum of 2 ½ hours at Muncaster but many groups spend up to five or more hours here quite happily.

Please ask your driver to deliver your party to the Coach Park entrance where you will find reserved space for coaches. Upon arrival, you will be met by a Muncaster representative, who will welcome your party, issue tickets, Muncaster maps and scratch cards (for use in the Maze) and answer any questions you may have.

Booking

Please confirm the booking of your preferred date as soon as possible by requesting a booking form. You may fax, email or telephone your date and details to us if you wish.

Alternatively, you can fill in the online booking form by clicking here. We only need to know approximate numbers initially. Groups which are not pre-booked are not entitled to a discount. On receipt of your booking form, we will confirm the details of your visit in writing. We do not require a deposit in advance, but payment must be made in full upon arrival unless other arrangements have been made beforehand.

Please note the Castle is closed on Saturdays.
ARRIVAL

To qualify for group discount one person must purchase the tickets. On the rare occasion that we may not be able to meet you, please purchase your tickets from the Owl Shop.

PRIVATE TOURS AND DINING

For that truly personal touch, for an additional cost, we can arrange private tours of the Castle, Gardens or Owl Centre. Groups of 15 people or more can have a knowledgeable guide to lead them on whichever tour they choose and lasts for a minimum of one hour. To make your day even more special, you could consider dining in style either in the Castle or the Old Laundry.
