Adopt a bird of Prey
Adopt an Eagle, Falcon, Vulture, Kite or Owl from the Muncaster Hawk & Owl Centre! Adoptions are available to buy online for most of our birds.
Whether for yourself or a gift for a friend or relative, this is a great way to keep in touch with your favourite bird by contributing to its upkeep, training and maintenance, as well as supporting the education and conservation work of the Centre.
Adopters receive a certificate, photograph and biography for the chosen bird plus your name on a roll of honour in the Centre, which we update monthly.
Please note that we fulfill online adoption orders by post. Alternatively you can buy an adoption onsite at Muncaster and take the adoption pack with you on the day.
When entering your order, you have the option to specify a different name and address for delivery.
NB! As part of the purchase process, you will be prompted for the name(s) you would like on the Adopters Roll of Honour so if you would like (e.g.) ‘Mr J.Smith of London’ or ‘Smith Family of London’ instead of ‘John Smith’ to appear against your adoption, this is where you tell us.
We are introducing auto-renewal via continuous card payment authority, which is offered as an option when purchasing an adoption. If you kindly accept to support our work by renewing the adoption automatically each year, we will notify you by email when the adoption is due to expire and the renewal payment is due.

MEMBERSHIP CARD – Automatic annual renewal using a Continuous Payment Authority which is setup on your credit card.
Repeat payments on your card
If you chose to use your credit or debit card to automatically renew your membership in 12 months time; this is called a continuous payment authority (CPA), also known as recurring transactions or instalment payments. CPAs differs from Direct debit as it uses your credit or debit card details rather than your bank details. By agreeing to a CPA you have entered into a contract with MVM Ltd, which has minimum 12 month duration.
A CPA gives a mandate to take a one off payment from your account annually to automatically extend your membership for a further 12 months, without seeking authorisation from you again.
The Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013 set out how retailers should act in setting up a CPA and during the course of a CPA.
You will receive a renewal letter 1 month before your card is due to expire,
If your card expires during the course of your CPA and does not automatically update; you will receive a notification to update your details.
Cancelling a continuous payment authority
