SATURDAY 15TH AUGUST - The Three Inch Fools - fresh out of lockdown - take to the road with only three actors, far too many musical instruments and one almighty play. The Fools are dusting off their instruments and stepping back into the great outdoors, with a riotous, three-hander version of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.
29th – 31st August 2020
Think history is dull and boring? Think again, as Muncaster returns to its medieval past for the August Bank Holiday. The Red Wyvern Clifford Household re-enactment society set up camp on the Castle lawns with a schedule of displays and workshops to show what life was like in the past. Normal entry charges apply, with no extra charge for the event, free to Friends of Muncaster.
(Tues 27th Oct - Sun Nov 1st)
Dare you visit one of Britain’s most haunted castles this Halloween?! The Muncaster Monster Cabaret with continuous entertainment, the Scary Maze, the Cannon ‘firing’ at 6pm, the Ghostly Grotto with spooky crafts, activities and face-painting and lots more, are all included in Halloween General Entry ticket prices.
See the Hawk & Owl Centre’s fantastic Twilight Owls display when our falconers fly a selection of our beautiful owls in the gardens after dark (separate tickets required), plus other ‘add-on’ activities.
A theatrical event in the Castle and scripted new each year, the Halloween Castle Tour will run at set times through the evenings. These sell out every year so book early to have your choice of date and time. The Castle Tour ticket is a ‘super ticket’ including general entry and daytime Castle visit but not the Twilight Owls.
The site opens from 10.30am through to mid-evening with Halloween activities commencing from around lunchtime.
