A weekend event held on the Muncaster Estate and including free camping and entry to Castle, Gardens and Hawk & Owl Centre plus bird of prey displays, the Krankenhaus Festival kicks off at 6pm on Friday evening 6th September and runs through to Sunday night 8th September.

The festival’s musical performances will take place in an historic stone barn within the estate grounds with the literary offerings in teh Castle itself. The festival will run from early or mid afternoon each day.

So who’s playing?

The headline act is British Sea Power who will be playing at least twice in the course of the Festival.

With their unique sound, seven albums and countless live appearances since their formation in the early 2000s, BSP are one of the UK’s most respected indie rock bands. They are currently based in Brighton but, as a number of the founder members hail from Cumbria, with roots firmly in our county too.
