23 Aug - 31 Aug 2015
Throughout the week we have a range of history events to keep the whole family entertained! Think history is dusty and boring? Think again; Living History Week brings the past to life with enthusiastic and knowledgeable re-enacters from across the centuries. Normal entry charges apply.
25 Oct - 31 Oct 2015
Our biggest event of the year! Dare you visit one of Britain's most haunted castles this Halloween? Many activities are accessible with Halloween General Entry tickets. The evening Castle Ghost Tours at set times require a special ticket and sell out every year so book early to avoid disappointment.
Our famous fireworks are on the first night this year, which is Sunday 25th, at 6.30pm (dependent on the weather). On the other nights (Mon 26th to Sat 31st) there will be a Ghostly Owls flying display at 7pm (tickets required) on the Flying Meadow.
Halloween at Muncaster is always popular, there may be queues for some activities and it may not be possible to get around everything on offer. Arrive early to have the best chance of doing it all and in good time if you have a timed tour booked.
